I'm thinking about selling a 1971 chinese norinco sks with a spike bayonet and just wondered what there selling for now. Its got an ATI folding stock, 30 rnd. magazine, bushnell trophy 2-12x20 handgun scope in scout position ($162), a decent sling, and all the original wooden furniture included. Does $550 sound like a fair price. That price is based off $250 for the rifle, $150 for the scope, $50 for the scope mount, $50 for the stock, and the rest of the money for the sling, mag, ect. It's pretty accurate at 100 yrds. and it's a good brush gun for whitetail but I need money for a new handgun. Mainly i'm just wondering about the $250 price tag on the rifle. Thanks

I found a place local that has boxes of 50rd Remington UMC 9mm Luger 115gr JHP L9MM1 for $16.95 a box with no tax. I have bought lots of 9mm FMJ for target practice cheap online but even adding in the shipping its still cheaper than the local price. I dont know how plentifull handgun ammo is where you live but here most all shelfs are empty on all caliber & if not for the internet I would not be doing much shooting!
I have not fired much of the Remington UMC 9mm Luger 115gr JHP L9MM1 but from what I have it seem to be good quality & would use it day in & day out for self/home protection. So is $16.95 a good price & is the ammo good quality that I can trust my life with?
I know there is better & more expensive ammo out there, I have around 200rd of 9mm +P Remington 124 Grains JHP Golden Saber but I like to use the same ammo I practice with to be the same ammo I carry day in & day out & at $1 per round the Golden Saber is a bit to spendy!
MR S I have for the last couple years I have been shooting Federal Premium HYDRA-SHOK 147gr JHP that worked very well but my source has dried up & no longer available. I was paying much less than the $1 per round you quoted. I was paying $24.99 per box of 50 & I still have around 500 rounds of it. When I go out & target practice I will go through 200 rounds easy. The Remington I picked up shot just as well as the Federal at $200 less per case of 20 boxes.

Also would a .22LR FMJ bullet go through a bears skull? I plan on getting it for a shotgun and a .22 handgun

don't answer if you don't know, and don't tell me to wait until im 21! in 2012 when i am 21 it will be impossible for me to acquire any handgun because of the "ammo stamping" law which will take effect before im 21. it requires all new handguns to have a cereal number engraved in the fireing pin and i doubt manufacturers will make their guns compliant, and if they do the price will be too high for me to afford. i am a responsible 18 year old who has been shooting all my life, i own several guns and want a 1911 style pistol. i wanted to buy a semi completed frame and finish it. i have all the tools and knowledge needed to do this but don't know if i will be able to register it when it is complete. Ca law says that all hanguns must be registered, and you must be 21 to buy a handgun. it also says that an 18 year old can possess and use a hangun, and that you can construct your own gun as long as they comply with all Ca and federal laws. this is very confusing to me???? if i can build the gun legally can i register it???

for example: i know that the m92f is 6.6K and all the other handguns are 10K i just want to know all the prices (including Magnums)
and This is about Resident Evil 5

also i have a raven .25 automatic whats a fair selling price?

I am considering a Rossi .357 mag for a personal protection gun. I've never shot a gun like that so I'm sure I would practice with .38 spec. ammunition. Is this a sufficient caliber for self defense? I know lots of people aren't huge fans of the rossi brand, but I'm not an avid shooter so this gun won't be at a shooting range every weekend. Maybe a few times a year. I am on a limited budget which is why I'm looking at this brand. I know I shouldn't put a price on a gun that could potentially save mine or someone else's life, but I'm sorry I have to! Any info on the caliber and what kind of recoil I should expect considering I'm not very experienced.

i a am pretty experienced air-soft marksmen and i have a good all purpose handgun style gun but my rifle is somewhat mediocre. I'm looking for a gun with like 350+ fps and holds a good amount of rounds it also needs to be spring or gas but spring is preferred because the wars i may get in have a no gas rule.
price range: $20 to $59
for all the answers so far i apologise i was on the phone talking about a rifle that i wanted but i was asking about if there is a good handgun that is about 4-6 inches and still has power
also if you have never heard of a no gas rule than you are obviously not as experianced as you think you are

I would like a 1911 or a sub-compact in either 9mm, .45, or .44 mag. Any suggestions?

First, keep in mind that I live in California and have learned alot about trying to have handguns FFL'd locally. It's been a huge frustration.

I've been looking for a WWII era pistol and found locally a P38 dated 1945 from the Walther plant (N#zi markings included).

Not the best shape but still looks like a shooter. A little pitting here and there.. about what you'd expect for a 60+ year old gun. It has two mags included.

The ones I've seen on GunsAmerica.com seem to go for either the same price or higher but in a little better shape (plus I'd have to pay $100 for the FFL transfer here)

So my questions are, should I just go ahead and get it? Is there any remedy for repair of pitting? Does the N@zi markings make it collectable?

What are your thoughts?

Keep in mind I don't have Luger or 1911 money. I want a first wwii collectible pistol.

Thoughts?
When I mean FFL'd locally, I mean shopping online. It's a huge pain in the @ss. Pistols are especially difficult.

What would be a good asking price for the following handguns?

Baby Desert Eagle 9MM?

Ruger Blackhawk .44 Mag Revolver?

Looked up the price for them new, but what would be a good price for a used gun sold person to person? i.e. guns not stolen or used in any criminal activity...please advise...
...they were owned by a US Ranger who is no longer with us, and his girlfriend is in need of money...
...thanks everyone...I got the 9mm sold for her...she only wanted $250...it went quick...us Soldiers and exMilitary, I guess are gun nuts...I would have bought them, but my wife says I have too many hand guns...I am going to buy a rifle soon before I can't...

How would your rate them as compared to S&W and others?

It seems that the Ruger and Sig Saur online catalogs do not include prices.

My collection will soon either include a Ruger MKIII Bull barrel, Ruger KP345PR, Buckmark, or some relatively cheap 1911.

The .22 pistols aren't as fun IMHO, but they have a good place in a mid-volume shooters collection. I have tried several MKII and MKIIIs, they just don't get me as excited as the centerfires.

I have always liked the Ruger KP345, good price, comfort, comes with safeties, has a decocker, low recoil, accurate, strong frame, but I think .45 is kinda expensive. I also like the KP345 because it is easy for CCW, and it has that DA/SA trigger which is big plus for me in home defense or CCW. If it came in 9mm, then I'd be all over it. I also have a 1911 made by RIA, love the design and low recoil, but mine is in .38super. So I might sell it (ammo is way harder to find for .38sueper than even .380) to fund this new gun. I was thinking if I am able to find a good RIA or Springfield GI for sub 500$, that would be in consideration.

I was looking for a good overall ranch type rifle. The obvious choice being the mini 14. However, I'm a big fan of the CZ line and noticed the 527.

Overall impressions? Compared to the mini 14? Solid?

Also, I don't have as much experience in rifles as I do in handguns.

Can you give me your opinions on the .223 compared to the 7.62x 39 versions? Which has more recoil, price on ammo, uses etc??

Thank you

I'm in the market for a handgun. I don't want to pay too much for it. So, I guess my question is what kind of handgun should I get for home defense that's not a 9mm? Looking for a medium priced handgun.
rubber band gun r u serious?
As I said b4 for home defense/ to carry with me( I have a permit).
Nerf gun?
Obviously, I already have one dude. I just need a smaller compact one that I can carry around with me. And number two, if he's trying to kill me then yes I don't have a problem killing him.
Thank you for the guys who are actually taking this seriously.

I'm thinking about buying a Glock 20 in 10mm auto, and i want to know if it is really hard to find this ammo? I've read somewhere that some people were not recommending a 10mm gun because of price of ammo and it being hard to find, but is that really true?

Also i would like to know, is the Glock 20 the best 10mm handgun, or is there anything better in 10mm?

im 14 and im kinda interested in guns ever since i used a 9mm handgun in thai land this summer. btw how do you get a gun license

p.s. serious reply plz...and i know you have to be older than 18 but i dont know at wat age.

im wanting to know the street prices nowdays on a 9mm or a 44 with an or without a silencer please and thanks :)

For the 1st time ever I have both a Deer and an Elk tag.
Besides black powder, handguns, shotguns and .22's the only rifle I have is a sporterized 8mm Mauser.
I can get a Remington 770 with 3-9x40mm Bushnell scope in 300 Win Mag for $307.00 (After Rebate) + tax & background, but have been reading some not very good things about that gun.
Having a hard time convincing the wife that I should even spend that much on another gun :(
I've heard that for that price range the Savage/Stevens 110 pkg might be better, but it's more money, and I've not located a seller locally.
So the question is, if I don't get another gun, will I kick myself when I miss my shot at either a deer or an elk (or both)?
If so, should I look for just a single purpose gun, and use the Mauser for the other hunt? Or should I look for a dual purpose gun (like the 300 Win Mag) for both hunts?
Not necessarily looking for new, just something that shoots straight and flat, and can knock down the elk without disintegrating the deer.
Qbnsizzle - I also took my 1st deer in UT with a similar 8mm Mauser (my Grandpa's old gun). I'm in NV now, and bought this one 2nd hand a couple years back because it was so similar to that one. Don't recall the optics off hand. My issue is the range on the Mauser. It looks like the accuracy goes way down after about 200 yards.

I'm thinking of getting into reloading, but I know absolutely nothing about it. What's so progressive about a "progressive press"? What's a "station"? Stuff like that makes me less confident in going out there and getting started.

I've figured out that you need to tumble the cases clean, punch out the old primer and reshape the case, cut clean the reformed case, and then add a primer, powder, and bullet. I probably am missing half the steps, and I still don't know anything about equipment, brands, or models.

Please recommend an entire list of what I'll need to reload centerfire pistol and rifle rounds, and possibly shotgun too. Specific is good (brands/models), and I'll need the whole thing including bullets, primers, powder, and other medium. Budget is currently anywhere from $300 to $700, but is flexible.

As for laws, it would be good too if I knew about any laws regarding the small scale manufacture of ammunition. CA HSC 12001(f)(1) prohibits having more than 20 pounds of smokeless powder. Nothing in the CA Penal Code as far as I can tell (apart from selling handgun ammunition to minors). Am I missing something still?

Thanks a lot to those of you who reload and keep ammunition demand (and prices) down!

im lookin to have a gun custom made, but my problem is i cant find anyone to make it, basically i want an m1911 thats 15inches in total length rather then the standered 6 inches, and im wanting it to be either a .45 cal or .50. prefurably a .45 the ammo is cheaper. (trying to copy the handun from the anime hellsing if possible) so if anyone could help out on this that be great. and price really isnt an issue to me

I want to pay less than $400 for a handgun. I am looking for a lighter, yet accurate gun that is easily concealable. What type of handgun should I buy? No revolvers please.

My mother is a 55 year old 5'2 disabled women. I am going to purchase her a handgun for home and personal protection. That said, what would be a good handgun for this purpose? I would like to find something with low recoil, but good stopping power. I am aiming for a price between $300-$400. If anyone knowledgeable in this area can help, please do.

Need advice on this. I am recently going to purchase a new handgun. I have narrowed my search down to the Ruger P95, and the S&W Sigma 9mm. I like the design of both, I have heard that the trigger for the Sigma is a hard pull, and have read a few posts about it breaking all together. I haven't seen any bad reviews about the Ruger. I need help with the pros and cons about each one. And also an expected price if you can. Thanks in advance, Nick

I live in maryland and im 19 years old. I've done retail security and crowd control. Now im doing contracting and everyone is telling me to get my guard card, security clearence, mace, baton, and handgun permits.

I tried finding anything online but nothing shows for maryland no matter what i type in.

How do I go about doing all this and the prices in maryland?
Do I need all of it?
Whats the renewal rates?

for home defense i have a Remington 870
but hunting is something i want to do
if not a bushmaster what is a good ar 15

I was checking out Budsgunshop (online) and I noticed that those guns were priced very reasonably (about $350). The question is, are they good? Do they function reliably? How picky are they when it comes to ammo? Are there any issues that customers have complained about? How is Bersa's customer service?

I'm looking to make my first handgun purchase, and I'm trying to get an idea on what kind of prices I should be willing to pay for. I'm pretty set on a Ruger P90 in .45 auto (unless you have a suggestion for another US manufactured handgun with similar features, price, and quality), however I don't have access to any blue book data on pricing. How much should I expect to pay for this used, but in decent condition? The second part of my question deals with my location. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and have been having a heck of a time finding recommendations for reliable places to shop in the area. I'd say probably somewhere within maybe 20 miles of the city or so.
As simple as an answer as that was, gunbroker.com was actually really helpful. I especially liked their list of FFL holders in the area by zip code, as there were far more dealers near me than I realized. Thanks.

The only guns I have ever used were M-16 rifles in the Army, and AR-15 rifles as a correction's officer.

I am looking to get a handgun while I have the money, and it's still legal to, but I don't know what to get or look for.

I want something that my wife would have no difficulty learning to use either. She is a big girl, no frail chick, so we don't need a little baby purse pistol.

I want one that looks and functions great, easy to use, will serve its purpose if necessary, and doesn't cost too much and is reliable. Our price range is roughly $200-$500.

Also, how do I go about getting licensed/certified or whatever, and what are all the things I would need as far as permits go to be able to open carry and conceal carry, and where do I go to get the required paperwork? Also, any fees required would be good to know.

Lastly, we have 2 children ages 8 and 3, and want to know the best method (safe/lock) to make it to where if they ever did manage to find out about it, that they could not use it.

Thank you for your help.
I am in Virginia Beach, VA. Just in case that helps as far as licensing and permits go.

I've seen MSRP on beretta.com. What can I expect to pay for a new handgun at a major retailer such as Sportsman's Warehouse?

I live in the state of Virginia and will be 21 in March. (You must be 21 to own a handgun in VA.) I am looking at options ahead of time so that I can get a gun as soon as possible after my birthday.

Some things that I have to consider when making a choice are size, caliber, and price. Price is a big one since I am attending college right now. Not a whole lot of extra cash lying around.

I am looking for a firearm that can be carried as a concealed weapon (I plan to get a permit) but something that I only need to fire once. (Assuming I hit my target) I realize that I may sound like some freak that is planning to do something horrible. Therefore, let me list my reasons for having a concealed weapon.

#1.) I do not hate the constitution.

#2.) I have no desire to use a gun in a confrontational way, but will use it for self defense if ABSOLUTELY neccessary.

#3.) For home defense and security.

I do not plan to carry a gun on me 24/7. But only when I go out of town and am around bad neighborhoods......like in Baltimore. Ugh.

Anyway I need a quality weapon that can be concealed well. Here are some options that I have thought of:

1911 Colt .45- Good all around hand gun, a bit pricy, but has plenty of kick. Not EXACTLY the easist concealed gun.

Smith and Wesson M&P 360 .375/.38 Revolver- Fires .38 and .375 rounds, small and easily concealed (snub nose) but only has a 5 round cylender. So I would only have 4 shots.

Please comment on these choices and make suggestions!!!

Thanks in advance!

Well I'm looking to buy my first handgun. I'm looking at the s&w sw9ve or the sw40ve. Same price...looks like the both have good reviews (besides heavy trigger pull) But whats the better buy? 40cal is more powerful but the 9mm is more accurate and has less recoil. I'm thinking of getting the 40...most police agencies use it...and I do plan on becoming a police officer. Any thoughts...or advice. (I have shot before to have not shot a 40 though)
I know some of you are saying to buy a glock but 2 things. Its not in my price range. 2nd is I will not buy a used gun

What price range do they normally go for?

sorry , I don't know much about handgun, but there seem to be variates of them. the one I'm looking for is a gun that do what it suppose to do " KILL" any expert with guns please recommend to me with price and spec .

i really dont need another 9mm handgun but is 500 a good price for a 92fs? i currently have a ruger p85 for a 9mm pistol. not too fancy i know. beretta comes with 3 clips. whats your thoughts?

what would be a good handgun to carry with a concealed handgun license? I have a price range from 300-400 dollars. I would prefer something small, but i want it to have enough power to stop someone in one shot if i was being attacked or needed to protect myself. This will also be the first handgun i have ever owned.

Basically, I'm going to be using it sparingly to keep my sharpness, but I just want to make sure that when I need it to fire a straight shot, it'll be ready for it. For $160, the price is right. Anyone have one, what do you think?

I'm most interested in these ten. I am looking for something that carries at least 15 rounds, is lightweight, easy to conceal, and is made of excellent quality for a price that won't make me go broke.
Please rank from best to worst.

1. Glock-19
2. FNP-9
3. Sig P-250
4. Springfield XD-9
5. Ruger SR-9
6. Walther PPS
7. Smith & Wesson M&P-9
8. Taurus 24/7 PRO
9. Beretta 92fs
10. Beretta Px4 Storm
Which is most accurate

I am looking for all around information on the .22 caliber (whether it be be rifle or handgun), information on ammo, damage, noise, recoil, price, history, reliability, licences etc. Thanks

I live in Dallas, I'll be glad to take any suggestions for good deals on handguns in my area.

I'm getting my first handgun and my dad wants me to get a smaller caliber such as a .22 or a .32, but he could probably be convinced to get a 9mm. He also would rather it be a revolver as apposed to a pistol. I have looked at the Walther P22 and like it, but my dad has a hard time gripping it. I would, if I got a pistol instead of a revolver, rather a center fire, not a rim fire, but rim fires are fine. So, what gun would some of y'all suggest? My price range is under $500.

Okay all, just re-entered the guns again after being out of them for 20 yrs cause of kids in house. Shocked as hell to see what is happening to prices. Question is what is the groups opinion on best handfun for money. Looking for 38/357 snubby, 9mm, 40 and 45 pistols.want to build up my handgun collection again again Any and all opinions appreciated.

I'm looking to buy a handgun and I'm not too familiar with all the brands and prices and what they should cost. Anyone got some ideas on where I can find handguns in the $500 range? It's for home protection/self defense but I'm not too picky on whether it's revolver or a clip. Any suggestions appreciated.
Edit: Oh and it doesn't have to be brand new so long as it's in good condition and from a trustworthy seller..
Also, what brands are best? I see Taurus is in my price range, do they make good guns?
