I have Session Pro DD505 electric drum kit and was thinking of selling it for around A?300 and I usually get anywhere form A?200-A?300 for Christmas Moneyz, So I was thinking of buying a real kit for the reasons that U might be getting into a band and that an electric drum kit just doesn't cut it for me anymore, with an electric kit you have a limited amount of ports/input leads that you can have but with a real kit you can add whatever you want to it and its a natural sound not recorded sound triggered by vibrations. So you can see the point that i'm getting at in terms of versatility of sound between a real kit and an electric kit. But I have 2 problems;

The first is that I have around A?500-A?600 to spend but looking to get a $400-ish decent kit and then add quite a few cymbals to it and of course, you can save a lot of money buying cymbals in packs (which i've seen on www.GAK.co.uk) and not just by theirselves, so I was thinking of buying a A?400-ish kit that came with Bass, 3 Toms, Snare, Hi-Hat, Crash and/or Ride and then add some more cymbals because I'm a drummer that is into Metal and Hardcore rock, that kinda genre;

Lamb of God,
Trivium,
Metallica,
Devil Driver,
And of course not forgetting Pantera ^^.

So the second problem, I have very little room to put the kit so any suggestions about that? Sorry i'm lacking info on the space/area to put the kit. I can buy practice/silencer pads to make the kit quieter so thats not a problem.

If there is anything more you need to know PM me and i'll give you my hotmail so we can discuss over MSN

Thanks,
Lew (:
Sorry the U (In the first Paragraph) is meant to be an I and the $400 is meant to be A?400, I must be blind A.A,
And I have no idea why it's Categorised this in Jazz -.-".

Not drum pads or drum silencers they help make the sound better, its a circle around the snare or toms.

I just bought a beautidul 6 piece tama drumset with zildgan cymbals and hi hats, i muffled the bass by putting a blanket in there, ut the toms snare cymbals and hi-hat are all really loud. Is there a way that i can make my drumset 50% quieter with silencers because i still want to hear the drums just not wake up my parents 2 stories up!

i need help finiding an an electric, fullmetal RIS M4 that has 4 rails around the barrel and one on top, and it has to have a removeable stock. and then i need these accesories:
silencer, two magazines (and a magazine coupler), a drum magazine, a sniping magazine ( the smaller ones ), a foregrip, a metal bipod, a granade launcher ( with two shells), a laser, a flashlight, a reflex scope, an acog scope, a sniper scope, 4 rail covers (the ones you put on the rail when theres nothing else on it), a hard stock, a sniper scope (the one that holds an extra sniper magazine), an adjustable stock, and any other stock that is compatible with an m4

Im getting a new drum kit tomorrow. however, im afraid that it may be too noisy. i live in a small house and it will be in my bedroom. it will be against a wall , and on the otherside of the wall is the neighbours bedroom, . do silencer pads make a big difference ?

Madden 08- Game works great.
Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party- Works great.
How much store credit could i get?
could you plz break it down into each individual item?
Any possible ways to raise store credit?

I got a drum kit for Christmas from my mum and although I'm grateful for the thought, I really don't like it. She didn't consult me on what I would like, so I ended up with an cheap off-brand beginner kit in blue. I think she thought I would like it just because it was blue ... but I don't understand why as I hate the colour blue. It takes up far too much space in my room and doesn't fit in with the decor at at.

She also bought silencer pads for it from ebay. Don't get me wrong, I think that was really nice of her but she doesn't really understand anything about drums and ended up getting a piece of foam with blue felt stuck on because she thought it would be nice to make them "match your drums". Not only do they not, they make the drum sound even worse. She forces me to play with them because "she spent a lot of money on them", even though I doubt that.

I don't want to sound rude or ungrateful but the kit sounds really weird and horrible and even though I tuned it several times, it still sounds the same. The cymbals are the worst of all - they sound like metal trays! I don't enjoy playing them because it sounds horrible and makes me feel like I'm not doing it right. I try to practice at school with the kits there and I find it really enjoyable. I feel that having this kit is holding me back from practicing more and I understand that while I should try to work with what I have, I'm really not enjoying practicing with this kit.

Should I mention to her that I'd like to sell that kit and get a new one? I've dropped hints, but she doesn't seem to take any notice. I'd don't want to sound rude. Should I just save up some money and get a proper kit?

(By the way, I've been playing almost a year and not looking for a professional career in drumming or music, it's more of a hobby. However, if the situation ever arose where I could become a drummer in a band or take a year off school to be a drum-tech for a band, then I'd take it without needing much consideration. I'm 13.)

yeah i just got the rock band drum silencers from best buy for 19.99 and they are horrible and im pissed. they only allow you to strike half the notes because of their thickness. So does anyone know if i could return these for anything from store credit to money for a different x box 360 accessory because these were definitly a waste of money.
o yea and i did open it

My mom wont let me play drums, she only lets me play rockband drums because real drums according to her "aren't an instrument" "aren't fun" and are loud. I can get silencers. I have an AMAZING deal lined up. On craigslist i can trade my ps3 for a Tama 5 piece drumset with 4 cymbals hi hats and all that, skins, an extra 60 bucks for new heads, kick pedals everything, but I cant convince my mom to let me play! She wants me to play soothing instruments like the flute, or clarinet, but wow i already play guitar i really always loved drums but shes stopping me from something i would LOVE to do!

I have Rock Band 1 drums for Xbox 360 and whenever i play them everyone in my house gets annoyed by the noise from the drums, i know there are drums silencers for Rock Band but i heard they reduce the sensitivity when you hit the pads, should i sell my Rock Band drums and get Guitar Hero ones.

Hi,

I just bought an electronic drum kit Legacy DD506 (Yes, I know, I should have gone with a Roland, but in these economic times, can't afford it).

Anyway, I do find the pads and cymbals very loud, as in I have to put up the volume of the amp to overcome the noise from striking the pads. Which defeats the purpose of having an electronic kit. It's suppose to be as quite as possible, and I do want my amp to be at minimal volume and not disturb the neighbors. I do live in an apartment.

So anyway, are there any pad silencers for electronic drums and cymbals? I know they have silencers for real drum kits.

If anyone knows, send me a link to a website as well. Thanks in advance.

I have a studio running Cubase SX3 with EZdrummer and all important kits(DFH, Claustrophobic, etc.). I recently traded my wii(haven't touched it in months) for a Pearl Rhythm Traveler drum kit with mesh heads and rubber cymbal silencers. So the kit is a 5 piece with two cymbals and a hi hat, mesh heads are in place and rubber silencers are attached. I want to play the kit and trigger sounds in EZdrummer for recording. I would mic the kit like I used to, but with roommates and neighbors it has become impossible to play with the real heads and mics. What triggers and drum modules work best for a drum kit to drum module to MIDI to USB to PC to Cubase to EZdrummer setup on a budget?

I'm getting a drum kit for my birthday but my mom said i can only have them if i get some drum silencers but i don't want want them. will they make my drums sound rubbish or will be it just be like turning down the volume lol. thanks

I have a Rock Band 1 drumkit. I recently purchased the official drum pad silencers. Now I am missing a lot of notes on the red pad that I definately hit. I never had issues with this before and the other pads work perfectly so does anyone know why this is.
Thanks

Does anyone have any experience with playing an acoustic set in apartment buildings with the silencer pads on? I just want to make sure that it will actually be quiet enough.

Thanks!

Hi. I'm just curious what everyone else has done in call of duty world at war. I personally have something like 1090 kills, and 900 deaths.

My best game on xbox live was in team deathmatch. I got 31 kills, and 6 deaths. I was on Asylum.

My combo:
Type 100 (with round drum or silencer, kept switching through out game)
Tokarev pistol ( i think thats how you spell it)
Stopping Power (i know, it is kind of noobish according to some people)
Second Chance
N 78 grenades i think their called?
Tabun gas
2 rocket launchers

like 12 of those kills came from artillery and dogs though, so yeah.

What is your best, and what did you use?

it sounds like a dumb question, but im talking about the drums and my landlord lives right under me.
dont tell me about the silencers!i know about them and they affect play!
maybe put something under the foot pedal or something?we never got a complaint until the other day, easy points ppl!

Well my classes are alright, but I think i need a little something... Extra?

Heres my classes and can anyone tell me what I need because my classes right now arent working for me

1-Mos. Nagat with Sniper Scope, Stopping power, Steady aim, Bettys
2-Gewehr with The arpeture light, stopping power, deep impact, bandoiler
3-MP40 with the round drum or w.e, double tap, extreme conditioning, bandoiler
4- Stg44 with the silencer, bandoiler, dbl. tap, deep impact
5- It;s a machine gun that you get at like 45 and it shoots fast, iron sight is the little black cross thing. i forgot what it was called, stopping power, deep impact, bandoiler

Drum silencers. Good or evil?

Rock Band 1 silencers?
i need ideas for home made rock band silencers
my brother just pounds and pounds on it....he doesnt realize that you dont have to hit it that hard, but he wont listen!
HELP!!!

i have recently bought a QM set replacing my SL and i am wondering if it would do anything to help with rebound as well as noise

1. Can I use the guitar for guitar hero and use guitar hero guitars for rock band

2. do the silencers actually work on the drums

3. what are some good extra guitars that will work since i want another one for bass.

anything else will help for advice.

My husband is deployed to Iraq. I've bought him rock band 2, new drum sticks, drum silencer pads, two history channel documentaries, and a biography along with some silly christmas stuff, some pictures and a card.
Now he's asking me what I want! He's going to order it online...but... I have no clue what I want.
He asked me about maybe a designer bag... but I can't see spending hundreds of dollars on a purse because of the name... perfume gives me migraines....
I just don't know what to tell him!!! It's driving him crazy.
Any ideas?
What do YOU want for Christmas??
I'd love to have HIM for christmas. He knows that. But.. impossible sadly.
We both have plenty of pictures of us.
He's been gone since April. :(

I need to make drum silencers for my drum kit. I need ideas on material to use for it. Mousepads would work but I need some big enough to fit over a bass drum, so idk if that would work

thanks

i just want to jam out and not make as much noise but also not affecting the performance on the drums. i have the SL model drums

I dont know if there are silencers for guitar hero world tour drums but if you could give me a reply. THanks

I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment complex. I know that I can use drum silencers to get rid of the tapping, but when it comes to the bass pedal, how do I avoid bugging my neighbors? Someone suggested a treadmill pad to place beneath my drum set, but those aren't always the cheapest. Any other suggestions?
Hitting the drums is not my issue in regards to noise. I am more concerned about the pedal making too much noise as I stomp down on it. I've tried a mouse pad, but the thumping can still be heard on the floor beneath me. I tried a kitchen rug, and that seemed to absorb a lot of sound.

I just got Rock Band for Wii.
I've already beaten it once on easy but when my friends hit the drums it sounded like they were hitting them way too hard! I'm really cautious about my prooperty and i dont want to damage this game i just got.
so i couldnt find anywhere that said how hard i should hit the drums, and i need to know. P.S i also thought of drum silencers but those just SILENCE the drums and i want to protect the drums from being damaged.

Any help please?

The red and blue drums on my X-Box 360 Rock Band 1 Drums are making very obnoxious noises. When you hit them it sounds like you're hitting the rim of the drum. Would drum silencers fix this problem?

im getting a drum kit and i wanted to know if silencer pads really make a difference. please comment on each part of the kit (including cymbals) if possible

We've recently bought Rock Band (which is Awesome!)

But we keep getting complaints from downstairs saying its too loud even when we're not hitting that hard.
We tested it and it is in fact louder downstairs than in the room we play in!...could this be due to vibrations or something?

So anyway we bought the official drum silencer pads - but it hasn't had much effect.

Has anybody had this problem and how reduce the noise level?

i need to find an airsoft m4 assault rifle with 4 rails on the barrel and and rail for the scope. i also need to find these accessories: a silencer that fits the gun, a granade launcher and 2 shells, a removable bipod that folds forward, a removable foregrip, a laser with an on and off switch not a pressure switch, a flaslight with an on and off switch not a pressure switch, a 4x scope with the right mounting equipement, a red dot scope and a red dot sight, a normal removable stock, a removable adjustable stock, and a removable folding stock, also a sling that fits the gun, two normal clips, two sniper rifle clips ( the short ones that can barely be seen once inside the gun), and one drum magazine.

of course i do not expect all of these to come with the gun and i do not expect to use all of these thngs at the same time, please help me

im wanting to buy an acoustic drumkit and im gonna buy silencer pads (still living with the parents see)
i have very little space, my bedroom is tiny and thats the only place for it to go. i already have an electric gutiar, an avt50 amp and a keyboard. however i did see a full kit on ebay which had a bass drum roughly a third of the depth of a normal one and ive never seen anything like it since. does anyone know where to get these? if so do you know what they sound like?

I've heard the Rock Band drum set is very noisy when you're playing. Is it really that bad?

And if anyone has the official drum pad silencers, how effective are they?
P.S. lil doggie, if you don't know, don't answer!

I have the-
wii system (ALL WIRES NEEDED)
Rockband 1 with drums and wire less guitar and mic and wireless HUB
With silencers (All instrumental in MINT)
MArio KArt with 2 wheels (BOTH OFFICIAL NINTENDO)
Wii SPorts
2 WIIMOTes and 2 NUNCHUCKS
about 20 accesories (bats, tennis raquets, wheels, etc.) (not NERF)

What do you think?
(if your looking to buy make an offer lol) but how much should i sell,

About a year ago i started up on drums for a bit but then because of getting on crutches and what not i had to stop. I forgot about drums until 2 or 3 weeks ago. Here's the story...I was at a friends house playing rock band and nobody liked the drums cause no one was good at them so when there wasn't anyone to play the drums i tried them out. I started on normal because i didn't think i would make it to begin with but i did. After that one song i moved on to hard and i still made through it (this is without any rock band or real drum practice). And now i have moved on to expert on songs that i am comfortable with. It was strange cause i never expected to get good on the drums and now its the only thing i want to play. But my question is that i want to move on to real drums and get good at the real thing. Does being good at rock band mean anything? or is it just a skill on a video game?
also whats a good drum set? Pearl? What about those electronic ones they seem good could cause you can control the volume and my parents don't really want me to be loud. Playing the drums on rock band alone is too loud for my mom (I don't have the silencers on my drums yet). Give me any advice you have.

thanks.

could you also tell me which type of drums work best with the silencers?

What are some ways to make rock band drums quieter without buying the $20 drum silencers?? (something cheap)
and if i have to take them apart, how do i do it without ruining them?

Living were i do, my mum told me i have to have silencer pads to be able to have drums, but because with silencer pads it actually sounds NOTHING like what it does without having them i just find it really hard to learn and when i take the pads of for like 5 minutes every couple of days i find it alot more difficult to play things that i already learned becuase with the pads all the drums sound more similar to eachother than they do without it, and you dont get the sort of echo type thing you do without the pads and its screwing up how im learning them -.-

I hope you get what i mean xD Im not the best of people at explaining things :L

Thanks [=

Ive learned a few things from a few songs, not a whole song xD but parts of it cos ive only been play a few weeks like part of green day and the first kind of roll thingy to mcr's black parade and also year 3000 by busted, but im not sure if its correct. But i get sick of playing the same things over and over and when i try to play something different with out tabs i can't make anything up and i can't play to music and just kind of guess because i have to have silencer pads on and it sounds completely different.

When i try to learn a tab it just gets too hard! I don't know what to do because i don't want to get lessons and i don't have any books and won't be able to get a book for a while yet.

Any help here?!

I have a RockBand drum set for the Xbox360. I put the silencer pads on the drum pads, and still my yellow pad got cracked. Is this eligible for an Xbox360 replacement? Also, my drum pedal broke a while back, and it's missing the top piece. Will they send me a new one if I just send back what I have?

I am buying rock band and i want the drum silencer does it even make your drums quiet or really quiet?? Is it even worth buying?? OH and does the drum silencer work on all rock band drums no matter whats system?? Please Reply!!!

the rock band drum set is incredibly loud and annoying. not to mention distracting when you are not the drummer...

but until guitar hero 4 comes out with what is supposed to be a fairly high speed drum set, this rock band set will have to do.

what i'm wondering is what type of pad silencers are worth anything. i don't want to throw my money away on crap. has anyone had any luck with the silencers? if so, what brand/type???

my set is a QM. i don't really care if the pads have any cute little designs on them, i'm looking for something practical. and effective.

any suggestions? thanks in advance.

Any ideas!? I tried the tube sock one but it didn't work as well as I thought it would. Any ideas!? I really need one. My parents spazz when I play the drums and they make a ton of noise.
I just need like trillions of answers :D thnks alot

will people in another room be able to hear me
