What are some good aftermarket parts for my 2006 Chevy Cobalt LT? I have put on a cold air intake and am going to get a borla exhaust system but what are some other ideas? Also do they make a throttle body spacer for my car?

i wanted to get a HKS, Injen, or Borla muffler but i wanted to know if it will make my car much louder. will it give it the same sound as if i was to get a full exhaust system. i have a 94 Honda Civic if that makes a difference

I know that Magnaflow and Borla are amongst the best out there, but I was just curious, which exhaust system has been tried and trusted for the WRX or STi? I'm not planning on converting my car into a full-time track car, I just want it to be a weekend racer...
To I <3 my suby:
are you talking about the APEXi GT Spec? I was look at those too, but now I'm just looking around, see what other WRX owners say first, because I've bought some stuff for my car vefore which turned out to be a heart break, right now, I have the Perrin short ram intake, strut bar, and the 22mm front and rear sway bars...

Let's say im putting a custom exhaust on a Scion tC.

what kind of differences will i see in my car if i get a full exhaust system from flowmaster or borla instead of only getting a muffler. does the full exhaust system give the car the same sound as if you were to get just a muffler. what makes a full exhaust system better than a muffler

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse and I have done a few things to the car such as put in a V6 twin turbo engine and a borla dual exhaust system i have also SSR rims and I want to get these vertical doors in before I get this baby painted and decaled
P.S. Just bought this car for 2 grand and I was expecting to pay at least 6 for it so I have some money to blow on it

how much does a good aftermarket exhaust like borla cost for honda civic. what does installation cost

Is this a good system for the car? Sound, Performance, Quality, Price?

ok so i am wondering, you know how good borla makes your car sound? do i need to install a whole system, or can i just put a tip on to give it that sound?

A while back while I was in the market for a new exhaust system I ran across a video on the internet (pretty sure Youtube) that was of a certain company with a motor on a test stand testing different mufflers. They compared the quiet, aggressive, then open headers. I can't find this video. Can someone help me out? I think it was either by Flowmaster, Magnaflow, or maybe even Borla.

Alright, I have a 09 gt and already modified the midpipe to an offroad h pipe, however im trying to achieve that older 4.6l sound such as the 02-04 stangs, you know that deep throaty growl they have. the new mustangs really sound like trucks, which im not liking one bit. tried pypes axel-back mufflers, put my stock ones back on since it sounded stupid. and the pypes mid muffler system sounds like a helicopter in my opinion. any ideas? perhaps modifying it to have borla's welded in the middle or anything such? thanks

I have an 04 Mustang GT with the Borla Stinger Cat Back exhaust system on it already and im looking to put on a midpipe. I dont know whether to put an x pipe or an h pipe. Regardless it has to pass emissions so it has to be catted..what one should i pick and what brand? please help me outt..thanks

i have a 07 f150. Ive been looking at the roush full exhaust system. I have never heard it. I know it's from the same people that make borla, but its a hell of alot cheaper. im tired of the same old flowmaster sound. i am looking for headers also. so any suggestions would help. And save me the stupid ford/chevy trash talk and im not keeping the stock exhaust for you idiots who dont know about aftermarket performance and look.

i got a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse gt v6 with 105,000 miles on it and i wanted to know if it is safe to add a 75 shot of nos on it. and what can i do to make it even safer besides not using it stupidly. and modifications anything? i also want a borla exhaust system will they work together.
yea i want to get a wet kit

I have a 2007 Mustang GT with Mac LT headers 1 3/4 and o/r x pipe and Borla exhaust JLT intake Sctx3 91 tune i get 16 miles per gallon which is scary already im not sure why is my mpg low but i want to put cams will this make my mpg worse than it is and please let me know why my car is wasting to much gas with the system i have already thanks

Hi, My friend has a 1999 Mazda Miata, and they want to change out the stock exuast system and add a performance one. Now, there looking for a more agressive rumble/growl from whatever new setup they purchase. Question is, what do you all think is the best Performance Exaust System to buy for this Miata to give it that tone there looking for. Nothing whimpy or sounding like a fart can type stuff please...Needs to be more adult oriented. If you guys could help me in finding a good system for them that would be great...I figured something like Flowmaster, Magnaflow, or Borla...but wanted to get your opinions...thanks!!!
PS:::Dont know engine type, Just know its an 1999 Mazda Miata!

I want to change the way my car sounds, just the sound and I dont want to buy a exhaust system like Borla or Eisenman for $1000... exhaust systems change sound and perfromance, but is there something just to change the sound?

Well i recently owned a 2001 mustang cobra and i graduated high school a month ago and my dad bought me a supra for my graduation gift. But i don't really have a clue whats good and whats not for the supra.

i had borla stingers exhaust on the cobra but the supra exhaust systems are different and i don't know what to get. I knew alot about my cobra but nothing about the supra. I was on youtube and i found this video (boost logic supra) and it sounded very nice. i was wondering if i could trust this brand (Boost Logic). what are some other brands that i could trust that are reliable i could buy from?

Thanks
I'm not spoiled. I went to private school my whole life and i kept good grades and im going to college thats why my dad bought me a supra, my goals are high in life. The cobra wasn't the best, he bought it without a motor and it had problems so it's not like he bought me a 20 grand cobra when i was 16 dumbass.
oh and it's a 95 single turbo manual

Currently I've been going to the HowStuffWorks website and reading everything I can get my hands (or mouse, in this case) on about cars from the engine, to transmissions, to the many different individual systems controlling the car.

I realize I'm still a "noob", and I'm trying to desperately get out of that phase.

I mean come on, no one wants to be like that dumb football (jock)jerk from 'Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift'

Lmao this part
Clay: "This beast's got 500-horsepower and a Borla exhaust system. It does 0-60 in what, 4.3 seconds?"
Shawn Boswell: "Wow. You can read the brochure."

Haha, that's friggin hilarious and all, but I'm so afraid that I'll end up being that guy who just reads brochures.

Please help me oh great car experts, (guide me down the right path) all help and feedback is greatly appreciated. Thx very much.

I'm looking for an exhaust system for my 95 vet that is loud and has a deep tone to it. The two I've been looking at are "Borla" and "Corsa". Does anyone have a suggestion on which system is loader and better? Thank you

my friend told me that i needed both if i wanted to do this, not sure though, and can someone give me links for good exhaust and muffler system preferably magnaflow catback or borla =D

I'm buying a project car and it's a little... well really bad off. I would like to install aftermarket parts as opposed to OEM so I don't waste money on going OEM first then buying upgrade parts later. Do you guys know what would be best? I'm having trouble finding stuff for a '91, and I know it needs a new exhaust and the engine needs a bit of work, so I've found a Borla cat back system, but do I need anything else for the exhaust? any help welcome

i looked online and i found a borla exhaust system split rear, natural stainless steel, cat back. I also found a pacesetter header. i have a four cylinder. will doing these upgrades hurt my car more then help it?

i need the pipes, headers, and exhaust to be borla for my 2002 mustang gt

Just wondering what everyone thinks,
I know borla corsa etc all of the most expensive brands are the best (in my opinion) and a V6 will never every sound like a v8, but how would yous rank and compare Flowmasters, Magnaflow, Mac, Ford Racing performance parts, etc. for V6s

Thanks in advance!

I want to get a new cat back system, but in a different style. I would like to have dual pipes coming out right before the rear tires, but would like dual tips on each pipe. do you know of where to buy this? perferably made by borla, gibson, magnaflow, or flowmaster. thanks

Iam not jut looking for performance, Im also looking for the best sounding exhaust system. Iam debating whether I should get the Borla system or the Maganaflow.

Remus? Super Sprint? Borla? Active AutoWerke? Dual or Single?

Hokay, here's the situation:

I just replaced my stock exhaust on my 2000 Mazda 626, 4 cylinder with a mandrel bent Borla 2.5in system. (Catalytic converter not-included).

After replacing this system, my vehicle vibrates upon acceleration and I have had a 1000 RPM increase.

Thanks for your time, hopefully someone can help me out :D
Also,

Thank you for the speedy replies :)

The hangars are all hooked up and the exhaust is in place. The stock cat is still in place, by the way.

Do you think the piping rubbing against the frame could cause vibration?

I am going to replace the exhaust system with either a Borla or a Stillen exhaust system. Which is better?

I have a 2000 Jetta and I just installed a brand new borla exhaust system. Now I am only getting 50 miles on half a tank so far, I also installed a K&N Filter. What could be the problem here? before I was getting about 30 mpg, now this.

I was wanting to install a Borla exhaust system and remove the catalytic converter on my 1995 corvette. It has a stock motor with a vortex supercharger on it. It is only running with about 8 lbs of boost. What my goal is, is to increase air flow and make it loader. Has anyone out there done this, and is everything working properly

A 1996 Grand Prix SE 3.1 engine Automatic all stock.

Or a 1999 Mercury Cougar 2.5 liter 5 speed with a Borla exhaust system.

I was wondering if I could get your opinions about which car to buy. I'm a car enthusiast and i can't decide on what to buy. My options are a 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe for $13,900, a 2004 Mazda Rx-8 For $13,500, or a 1994 Mazda Rx-7 for $9000. The G35 has every Option, including the Navigation system, upgraded Brembo Brakes and 19 inch sport rims. If i were to buy the G35 I plan on installing the APR wide body Kit and afterwards installing a Turbo kit. The Rx-8 is a GT with the factory navigation system and all options plus a Greedy Intercooled Turbo kit, Borla exhaust system, and full Tien coilover suspension and has 38,000 miles. And finally the Rx-7 has 40,000 Miles, Interior is in perfect condition and is a twin turbo. Those are my choices. I am undecisive and would greatly appreciate your opinions. Thank you.

I've got a 2007 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition 2WD 4.7L V8 with a Borla air intake and dual exhaust. The car sounds pretty good right now, but, without spending much money, I want it to sound more like a powerful car. A friend of mine told me to put 2 small holes in the exhaust system, but I don't know where to put them (or even if they will work).

I also want to make it accelerate much quicker than it does. I don't want to change the rear end, so what can I do? (Remember, I am on a very, very tight budget).
Is there a performance chip that would make it do what I want? If so, where can I find one?

Okay I'm buying a used BMW e46 330i (preferably with sport package) in the next two months and wondering which exhaust system would provide my car with the best exhaust note and performance .My budget is around $1200 and I favor clean, deep racecar tones, not the raspy, obnoxious ricer tones (if that makes sense). I live in San Diego and I'm not familiar at all with the cities emissions laws, but I probably need a system with catalytic converters (maybe high flow cats) and I'm not sure if resonators are needed. If anyone has had experience with BMW exhaust systems your response would be greatly appreciated. :)

Some of the systems i have been looking at are: eisenman, remus, borla, AA, Supersprint, DINAN, and Rogue Engineering.

Thanks for your time!!

what should I get to have a really deep throaty sound similar to a v8 (yes I know there is no way to make it sound just like one). Should I get borla's, flowmaster's, glasspack's....something else? Also, I can not in any way have it high pitched, annoying, or raspy like those "souped up" Honda's....you know what I mean right?
For those that are wondering why I didn't get a v8, I am a 16 year old boy that was given this car for a very cheap price and my dad said he would get me a new exhaust system.

I was thinking about getting a cat-back system for my 06 silverado but really am not sure as to what direction I should take. I was wondering if it would be better to just buy one of those self-install magnaflow or borla cat-backs. But what if I want to dump it from the muffler? Should I just buy a pipe and muffler and connect a dump from there? What would sound better/perform better? Tips or not? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I want a dual exhaust system and I want it to sound good. I don't want it to sound like one of those stupid hondas, I want to to emulate a V8. Should I get a flowmaster, a Borla, or something else?

I'd like to add an exhaust piece to my '95 cavalier 2.2L to give it just a little bit different sound. I'd rather just go with a good muffler than replacing with a whole cat-back setup. I'd like to keep the cost as low as possible but still get a quality product. What brand of muffler is best???--is it Borla, Magnaflow, Vibrant or any others.....I just want something that adds a little bit of an aggressive tone without being obnoxiously loud in any way.
Also, if I go and buy a muffler, how much do you think a shop would charge to install it??? How much more would it be to install if I got a cat-back system???
What's my best bet and how much???
I guess the Doctor didn't understand the question...I wanted something cheap, of good quality and not TOO loud--basically the opposite of a glasspack that "Dr. Car Guy" suggested; something like the $70 3A Racing muffler I saw today at Advance Auto.

I have a 2006 chevy silverado 5.3 (78in) and am in the market for a kickass exhaust system. I like to do a lot of research before I buy anything big like that so does anyone know where I could find some reviews of exhaust systems (borla, magnaflow, etc.)? I've looked through a couple of my magazines but I don't have much. Any help would be great.

Suggestions would be nice too! Looking for something with deep deep sound.

Okay so I have an 05 Nissan Xterra. It's a 4.0l v6. I want a sound that isn't loud like a v8 or a ricer, but I don't want it too quiet. As of right now, all I hear is the engine and it drives me nuts. I want the sound to be deep, but when I give it some gas I can actually hear it good. I want it to sound like a Tacoma or a Jeep, something around that area.
What should I get? I don't want to spend $800 on a Borla or Magnaflow so what should I do? Get like high performance cats and run a 2" pipe back? I really don't know much about exhaust, so if you could point me in the right direction of what I should get, it would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention, it needs to be street LEGAL in Texas.

I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am and when I got it everything was stock and stock horsepower is listed at 170 horses for my 3.4L v6.

However since then I have added a Borla cat-back exhaust system as well as a K&N cold air intake.

How much have I increased my horsepower, approx?

Please help! i have a Borla exhaust system in my car. the engine air filter is "non-disposable." My question is: How do i clean it? (2006 Xb) any help is appreciated, and 10 points to the best answer. Thanks again !! :)

i currently have the Borla exhaust system, but i am looking to change up the sound a bit, and was wondering if there is a place i can buy a portion of a exhaust..for example, just the rear muffler with the 2 tips from HKS..

thanks for the help.
the borla exhaust sounds waayyy more better than stock..thats y i changed it.

I have a Mazda RX-8 that I'd like to put a new exhaust system in. What are the pros and cons of MagnaFlow, APEXi and Borla? Also is AEM better than K&N cold air intake systems?

i am wondering what would be the best performance part (s) buy for my audi a4 2.8l. it already has a ram cold air intake, borla exhaust system, A arm, and headers. what would be the best next preformance part? looking to spend around $500
